The Point: RCTC makes it possible for Riverside County fans to ride Metrolink to Angels Stadium for $7 or less round-trip
It’s time to play ball and take the train to the Angels game!
Avoid traffic, save on gas and the hassles of parking with Metrolink’s special Angels Express train to all Angels Friday evening home games. For $7 or less round-trip, Riverside County baseball lovers can take the Angels Express to Friday home games that start at 7:07 p.m.
Upcoming games are July 12 – Angels vs. Mariners, July 26 – Angels vs. Orioles, August 16 – Angels vs. White Sox, August 30 – Angels vs. Red Sox.
See the schedule for additional summer Friday night home games.
Fans can catch the special 741X train from any of eight Riverside County Metrolink stations (Perris-South through Corona-West) on Friday afternoons (check the website for complete details). After an easy transfer in Orange, riders exit the train at the Anaheim station, just steps from Angel Stadium.
Trains designated with an “X” are special trains that do not appear in regular schedules.
Tickets can be purchased on game days using two convenient options:
Mobile Tickets: Buy a Metrolink Angels Express ticket with the free Metrolink App. Using the app is easy. Simply select your origin station and then Anaheim as your destination station. The app will then give you the option to select the Angles Express ticket.
Paper Tickets: Buy at a Metrolink station ticket vending machine by selecting “Angels Express” on the home screen.
Fares are $7 or less round-trip for adults, $6 for seniors or riders with disabilities, $4 for youth ages 6-18, and free for children 5 and under with each fare-paying adult (limit three children per adult). Note that Angels tickets are sold separately.
Trains return to Riverside County via the same connection in Orange, 30 minutes after the games end, so be sure not to miss the train home!
The Riverside County Transportation Commission provides funding for the Angels Express.
