Full Nighttime Closures of Southbound 71
A full nighttime closure of southbound 71 is scheduled to take place Thursday, February 20, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. to allow crews to safely conduct concrete pours on the new connector.
Additionally, nightly alternating lane closures are scheduled for both eastbound and westbound 91 and northbound 71. Express Lanes, connector, and ramp closures will also take place during the week.
Due to the Presidents Day holiday, no closures are scheduled from Friday, February 14 through Monday, February 17.

January 2025 Sky Tour

The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, is reconstructing the 71/91 Interchange Project in Corona.
The new non-tolled interchange is designed to improve safety, expand access to other modes of travel, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance traffic flow, and support continued movement of native wildlife through the area. Construction will take place from early 2023 to 2025.

Upcoming Full Westbound 91 Closures
The 71/91 Interchange Project will resume nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 on Tuesday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures are scheduled through January 1, 2024. Closures will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Motorists will need to use the 71, 60, to 57 as alternate routes. For motorists who need to access Green River Road, they may do so by exiting Auto Center Dr./Serfas Club Dr. Fire, police, and emergency responders will have access. We are also informing residents and businesses of detours, traffic expectations, and to allow extra travel time.

Detour routes for all above closures will be maintained at all times. Schedule is subject to change, based on weather and other factors.

2/14 Advisory: An unplanned full closure of the southbound 71 to eastbound 91 connector is in place while crews work to fix potholes. If possible, please avoid the area. Once the roadway is safely cleared, the connector will reopen.
