Weeknight Full Closures of Southbound 71 Continue Through April 11
The Riverside County Transportation Commission’s 71/91 Interchange Project will continue nightly full closures (Monday – Friday) of southbound 71 at Butterfield Ranch Rd./ Euclid Ave. in Chino and Chino Hills through Friday, Aprill 11. The closures were extended due to inclement weather in early March.
Due to César Chávez Day, no closures are scheduled from Friday, March 28 through Monday, March 31.
Nightly eastbound and westbound 91 Express Lanes closures, alternating lane closures, and ramp closures are scheduled throughout the week of March 24. Connector closures are also scheduled to take place on northbound 71 throughout the week.

Follow the project:
The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, is reconstructing the 71/91 Interchange Project in Corona.
The new non-tolled interchange is designed to improve safety, expand access to other modes of travel, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance traffic flow, and support continued movement of native wildlife through the area. Construction will take place from early 2023 to 2025.

Upcoming Full Westbound 91 Closures
Weeknight Full Closures of Southbound 71
The 71/91 Interchange Project will resume nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 on Tuesday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures are scheduled through January 1, 2024. Closures will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Motorists will need to use the 71, 60, to 57 as alternate routes. For motorists who need to access Green River Road, they may do so by exiting Auto Center Dr./Serfas Club Dr. Fire, police, and emergency responders will have access. We are also informing residents and businesses of detours, traffic expectations, and to allow extra travel time.

Detour routes for all above closures will be maintained at all times. Schedule is subject to change, based on weather and other factors.

Weeknight full closures (Monday – Friday) of southbound 71 at Butterfield Ranch Rd/Euclid Ave to the 91 are scheduled Monday, March 3 through Friday, April 11, 2025. The southbound 71 to eastbound and westbound 91 connectors will also be closed.
