Upcoming Weeknight Full Closures of Westbound 91
The Riverside County Transportation Commission’s 71/91 Interchange Project will require nightly full closures (Monday – Wednesday) of westbound 91 between the 71 and Green River Rd. in Corona beginning Monday, December 2, 2024. Closures are scheduled through Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures will be scheduled from December 20 through January 1, 2025. The westbound 91 full nightly closures are anticipated to restart on Monday, January 6, 2025. Please be on the lookout for more information.
Lane and connector closures are scheduled throughout the week of November 18. Please see closure details below. Construction activity and closure schedules are subject to change.

Follow the project:
The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, is reconstructing the 71/91 Interchange Project in Corona.
The new non-tolled interchange is designed to improve safety, expand access to other modes of travel, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance traffic flow, and support continued movement of native wildlife through the area. Construction will take place from early 2023 to 2025.

Upcoming Full Westbound 91 Closures
The 71/91 Interchange Project will resume nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 on Tuesday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures are scheduled through January 1, 2024. Closures will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Motorists will need to use the 71, 60, to 57 as alternate routes. For motorists who need to access Green River Road, they may do so by exiting Auto Center Dr./Serfas Club Dr. Fire, police, and emergency responders will have access. We are also informing residents and businesses of detours, traffic expectations, and to allow extra travel time.

Connector and Ramp Closures
Detour routes for all above closures will be maintained at all times. Schedule is subject to change, based on weather and other factors.

Weeknight full closures of southbound 71 are scheduled September 16 through late-October.
Motorists traveling to destinations along the 71 such as Chino, Chino Hills, and Pomona are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the 71/91 interchange.
