Full Weeknight Closures of Westbound 91 Continue
The Riverside County Transportation Commission’s 71/91 Interchange Project will continue nightly full closures (Monday – Wednesday) of westbound 91 between the 71 and Green River Rd. in Corona. Closures have been extended and will continue through Wednesday, January 29. For more closure information, please visit the link below.
Full Nighttime Closure of Southbound 71
A nighttime full closure of southbound 71 is scheduled for Thursday January 23, from 9 p.m.– 5 a.m. for crews to safely continue concrete operations.
Due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, no closures are scheduled for Monday, January 20.

November/ December 2024 Sky Tour

The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, is reconstructing the 71/91 Interchange Project in Corona.
The new non-tolled interchange is designed to improve safety, expand access to other modes of travel, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance traffic flow, and support continued movement of native wildlife through the area. Construction will take place from early 2023 to 2025.

Upcoming Full Westbound 91 Closures
The 71/91 Interchange Project will resume nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 on Tuesday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures are scheduled through January 1, 2024. Closures will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Motorists will need to use the 71, 60, to 57 as alternate routes. For motorists who need to access Green River Road, they may do so by exiting Auto Center Dr./Serfas Club Dr. Fire, police, and emergency responders will have access. We are also informing residents and businesses of detours, traffic expectations, and to allow extra travel time.

Detour routes for all above closures will be maintained at all times. Schedule is subject to change, based on weather and other factors.

Westbound 91 full nighttime closures are scheduled Monday, January 6, 2025 through Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Motorists are highly encouraged to avoid the westbound 91 by using the northbound 71 to westbound 60 to southbound 57 to get around the closure.
