The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, reconstructed the 71/91 Interchange Project in Corona.
The new 71/91 interchange opened to motorists on Monday, June 23, 2025. The new, non-tolled, two-lane direct connector replaced the existing single-lane loop connector and the newly realigned eastbound 91 Green River Rd. on-ramp now provides direct access to the new northbound 71 connector and eastbound 91 general purpose lanes.

Upcoming Full Westbound 91 Closures
Weeknight Full Closures of Southbound 71
The 71/91 Interchange Project will resume nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 on Tuesday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures are scheduled through January 1, 2024. Closures will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Motorists will need to use the 71, 60, to 57 as alternate routes. For motorists who need to access Green River Road, they may do so by exiting Auto Center Dr./Serfas Club Dr. Fire, police, and emergency responders will have access. We are also informing residents and businesses of detours, traffic expectations, and to allow extra travel time.
