As part of its mission in providing transportation projects services to Riverside County, RCTC plays an active role in Washington D.C. and Sacramento in advocating transportation policies and in seeking funding. At the beginning of every year the Commission adopts a Federal and a State Legislative Program that sets forth basic positions on transportation policy issues. RCTC also participates in Mobility 21, a regional Southern California transportation advocacy group.
